Shutter Speed Back in Production

"Shutter Speed" had been put on hiatus for quite some time due a variety of reasons. But I'm happy to say that it is once again in production. The final shoots will take place in the coming weeks. We'll be sure to report the results of the shooting after they've been completed. The film will premiere August 20th of this year at the University of Connecticut Stamford Campus. Be sure to check back here for details.

Ernie writes-

Next week, I'll be disembarking from NYC to London and Florence to shoot a few sequences for, "Niente: The Movie." When I return I'll be sure to make a mention of my trip in the next blog entry, but for full detailed reports from the set and the trip overall, be sure to visit the Niente Blog .

In other recent news, Steve Kompar, the associate producer of "Niente: The Movie" has now signed on to be the Studio's sound designer. He'll be leading the sound department with a team of a few others. His first project as sound designer will in fact be "Niente: The Move." Steve will also take on sound design for the fourth coming "Shutter Speed" film which is set to debut August 20th of 2008.

A handful of short subject films are closing in on completion and we anticipate that some of them will be ready for screening Summer and Fall of '08. I'll be sure to write entries about their progress as they develop. In the meantime please enjoy a preview to a newly completed short film documentary called, "The States: In the Lion's Den:"

Turkey Day Brings New Updates

Hello All,

Happy Thanksgiving to our U.S. viewers and Happy Thursday for everyone else. The site has been redesigned and we've switched our videos from Quicktime to Flash so everyone can view them. The only Quicktime you'll be seeing on here will be those occasional HD trailers and clips. There will be more updates to the site over the next two months, so be sure to check back.

5th Anniversary of Bonnut Film Studio

Hey all,

Five years ago today, Bonnut Film Studio was born! To mark this occasion we're happy to announce some new additions that will be added to the site over the next month:

1. "On the Ocean" a short film Directed by Kevin M. Brettauer will be added to our list of upcoming projects, on September 5th.

2. The short film "SRO Cops" Directed by Ernie Zahn and Written/Starring Mike Gaynor and Justin Hortin will be available for free viewing in The Vault September 7th.

3. On September9th Niente Peaches will expand from just a blog to a full-blown fan site complete with: production stills, a web series, podcasts, comics, and much much more!

Once the 9th rolls around and you've seen all the updates come to light, stay tuned for further updates as they will flourish in the Fall of '07!
